As of May 2026, the Indonesia Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) reported that Coretax (Core Tax Administration System) account activation had reached 19.1 million taxpayers. This new system was officially implemented to replace the old system (DGT Online) and integrate various tax services to improve efficiency.

*Implementation and Performance: Coretax is gradually replacing the previous DGT application. The system has had a positive impact, with reports showing a sharp increase in underpaid tax returns, indicating improved data validity.
*Activation and Access: Although mandatory, accounts already active in the old system do not need to be reactivated. Taxpayers simply need to change their passwords upon first logging in via the official website https://djponline.pajak.go.id/
*Security: The DGT urges the public to be wary of Coretax-style scams (such as requests to download .APK files or verify via WhatsApp). Data updates can only be made through the official system, not by phone or private chat.
